其中，be的形式隨著後面的名詞時單數還是複數而變化，即：當be後面接的是單數可數名詞，則採用is；當be後面接的是複數可數名詞，則採用are。
there be的否定句一般是直接在be後加not，not可以縮略為't。如果原句中還有some，一般要改為any。

注意事項：
1、如果陳述部分含有little，few，no，nobody，none等否定詞時，後面的簡短問句中要用肯定形式。
2、但有的含有否定意義的形容詞修飾不定代詞時則仍看作肯定句式。
3、there be句型遵循就近一致原則，這裡的be是用is還是are，主要取決於其後的第乙個名詞的單複數。如果該名詞是單數，那就用is，哪怕後面還會有其他名詞。如果該名詞是複數，那就用are。
